The fruit and veggie farm box has organic and naturally grown fruits and veggies picked fresh from local farms and delivered right to your door.  Items vary by season and availability.  Your local farm box is filled with a nice assortment of leafy greens, seasonal veggies and fruits grown by farmers in San Diego and surrounding counties. Every week we change up the menu so you won’t get bored! And we put in simple recipes to help you get the most out of your box, plus become familiar with new ways to prepare fresh food at home.

We have three sizes of local fruit and veggie boxes . Choose the one that best fits your needs:

  • Small – 8 items (5 veggies, 3 fruit) – good for 1 to 2 people
  • Medium – 11 items (6 veggies, 5 fruit) – great for 2 to 4 people
  • Large – 16 items (9 veggies, 7 fruit) – perfect for 4 and more, and those who love to eat fresh every day

Tip: An “item” is either a pound or a bunch of something.  For example, a bunch of carrots or a pound of apples!

Our farm box contains local, seasonally grown produce harvested at its’ peak of ripeness.  We buy from some of the best farms in the area, including Stehly,  Sage Mountain Farm, Gaytan, Sweet Tree, Sundial Farm,  Dassi Family Farm, and more.

Every week, we fill your farm box with a seasonal variety of choice organically grown fruits and veggies.  You get recipes and tips to help you make the most out of each delivery.  We also rotate the selections to keep it interesting!

Our farms deliver everything fresh to us each week and anything left over we donate to local food pantries here in San Diego’s North County area.

I received 7 Veggies, 6 were perfect, the onion was kinda banged up. Thank goodness it was in a plastic bag. I received 3 fruits, they were all perfect, but 7 small apples is a bit too much. I guess you ran out of other fruits to make 11items.

Other than the baby rainbow carrots, the veggies and fruit were excellent - especially the heirloom tomatoes, apples, and pears. So flavorful!

Thanks so much for the free Farm Box I won through our Wellness Program's Virtual Zumba class. Still haven't finished them yet but appreciate the freshness of the veggies and fruits. I really liked the avocados, carrots and nectarines.

The box: Being my first delivery. The box included two types of lettuces. The spring variety would have sufficed or just the Boston lettuce. I think it would have been better to put in another item (such as kale or some other leafy green, or even another onion. One onion for two weeks isn’t enough in my home.) The artichoke was a lovely surprise. Also, I would not have expected a plastic container for the lettuces, but understand that given the delicate nature of the leaf, it may be better for transport. I am trying to really minimize the use of plastics. Nice job on the avocados (perfect that one was riper than the other.) Carrots-great, nice bunch ;). Two lovely medium large tomatoes, and then fruits: 4 apples and 2 pears, 4 tangerines and 2 of a different variety. Overall not bad; at first I thought the amount seemed a little small for price, though after some thought, the produce is organic and delivery is also an additional factor which is a huge convenience especially with this Covid-crisis. Totally worth it and we are supporting our local farmers! Win-win! I may be changing the order for more veggies or up the frequency. Overall, pretty happy. Just need to tweak my order to fit our household. Thanks so much. I am looking forward to continuing. Blessings to the Daily Harvest fam!

Fresh fruits and veggies delivered right to our door. Best of all? Varying degrees of ripeness. It’s a week’s worth of produce picked to last for a week. Got my box last Tuesday and one avocado was still perfectly ripe for salad today (Sunday). First time I’ve had pink lady apples since moving from the east coast - fellow produce lovers will know what a gem this is!
